Employee Assistance Services (EAS)

Serving those who serve Canadians

If you're looking to strengthen employee health and well-being...
If you're looking to help your employees perform at their best...
You've come to the right place.

The Employee Assistance Services Bureau of Health Canada has been successfully providing high quality Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to a variety of Canadian public and para-public sector organisations across Canada, the USA and Europe for over 25 years.

Some reasons why your organisation will benefit from having EAS as your EAP provider:

  • Personal problems have a direct, negative impact on personal performance, overall workplace health, and consequently, your business.
  • Due to ongoing issues such as corporate and government restructuring, and increased workload, employees need to support their personal and professional well-being, and in turn their work performance.
  • Based on research done by the Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA), organizations that implement programs dealing with these issues realize a significant return on investment through increased productivity and a healthier workforce.
  • Rapid intervention using our Psycho-Social Emergency Preparedness and Response (P-SEPR) models help mitigate the long-term effects of a traumatic incident and allows employees to return to normal functioning sooner. CISM in association with our EAP will help individuals and the organization cope with stress in a more efficient manner and has been shown in independent study to provide a ration of 7 to 1 return on the investment.

Why choose Employee Assistance Services (EAS)?

  • Over 25 years' experience of providing professional and personal counselling to the employees and family members of Canadian public and para-public organizations across the country.
  • High client satisfaction - voluntary client surveys suggest that over 98% of those who used EAS would use our services again or recommend our services to their colleagues.
  • Fully compliant with Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat policies and regulations governing EAPs for Federal Department customers.
  • EAS is a not for profit organization operating on a cost recovery basis.
  • EAS is undergoing the rigorous process of "self-study" and peer review to prove that it meets or exceeds the highest quality standards of the industry and its professionals. EAS has called upon the Council of Accreditation (COA) to assess compliance with the EAP gold standard requirements as set out by the Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA). COA accreditation to EASNA standards is anticipated in 2005.
