About Us

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is the Government of Canada's major common service organization. It provides other federal departments and agencies with services that support the delivery of their programs to Canadians across the country and around the world.

PWGSC provides Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) with strategic advice and real property services associated with INAC's programs; most notably, the housing and community infrastructure on reserves across the country and in northern communities. Dedicated work teams consisting of PWGSC employees are located in each of INAC's regional and national offices to support INAC in its continuing efforts to ensure effective management and accountability for on-reserve assets. As a result, PWGSC has extensive experience in delivering real property programs in First Nation communities and in working in close partnership with Aboriginal leaders, organizations and corporations. PWGSC is familiar with the professional and technical capacity that exists on reserves, in Tribal Councils, in First Nation organizations and in the consulting and contracting communities.
