To avoid rejects, please do not input changes to code 700, during the period of October 27, 2006 to October 31, 2006. The new premium rates will be included in a Compensation Directive that will be issued shortly.

This is a reminder: Please note that for deduction codes 854 and 856, indicators A or B are not to be used anymore. Since all Employer-paid coverage for the Management Category is for Family level III regardless on whether or not the employee is single. (Treasury Board has approved 100% employer-paid premiums for Level III of GSMIP plan on behalf of employees in the Management Category effective January 1, 1990. The Management Category GSMIP Extended health Care Benefit (Code 703) was automatically changed to PSHCP Management Category (Code 854, new code). Therefore, back in 2003 we amended the PPIM to have ref A & B removed from Contract Number reference information. (Sun Life Assurance Company and Superannuation Directorate do not require A or B and the Regional Pay System checks only the Employer rate for the date entered.) The PPIM will be amended to emphasize this change.

Further to the broadcast message dated July 27, 2006, we would like to advise you that we are in the process of removing the edit message "PD 265." Clients are requested not to input any ENC & ENA 070 transactions until the process is completed on August 8, 2006.

2006 08 02

Further to the broadcast message dated July 27, 2006, concerning the problem with the Entitlement Code 070, we would like to advise that the cause of ENC and ENA transactions rejecting has been identified. It has been determined that the supervisory grid input in Field 28 must correspond to the BUD Group Code which is in the Employee’s Personnel Record.

Please consider what follows to prevent transactions rejecting:
  • If BUD group code is 603 or 90522, 90523, 90524, 90525, 90526; the supervisory grid code (Field 28) must be A1, B2, or blank.
  • If BUD group code is 653 or 90531, 90536, 90537, 90538, 90539; Field 28 cannot be A1, B2 or blank
  • If BUD group code is 604, 90527, 90528 or 90529; Field 28 must be blank or can also be C3 for BUD group code 90529.
  • If BUD group code is 654 or 90532; Field 28 cannot be blank.

Any further inquiries regarding this matter should be addressed to Pay Advisory Services.

2006 07 27
