Face Protectors & Hockey Helmets

Face protectors and hockey helmets sold in Canada must meet safety standards set by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

To be effective, a face protector must be in good condition and fit properly to the helmet. If available separate from a helmet, a face protector must have all of the hardware and instructions for proper installation.

For a hockey helmet to be effective it must be in good condition, fit properly and have a chin strap. A helmet should not have any cracks, missing padding or missing hardware. There should be no modifications such as drilled holes, added stickers or paint.
