Swimming Pools, Spas, & Hot Tubs
Health Canada wants to ensure that people in Canada are aware of the health and safety issues related to backyard pools, spas, and hot tubs. Surveillance, awareness, and education are especially important when children are present.
The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) provides information on recreational water-borne illnesses and methods to prevent their transmission. The PMRA also provides information on the use of certain water purification chemicals and offers safety tips for addressing accessibility issues.
