| The current report includes an inventory of anthropogenic (human-induced) emissions by sources, and removals by sinks, of the six main GHGs not controlled by the Montreal Protocol. This report highlights some of the latest developments in the inventory, discusses underlying trends in the emissions, provides some international context, and presents provincial and territorial emissions for the period 1990-2004. The GHGs for which emissions and removals have been estimated in the national inventory are:
carbon dioxide, methane,
nitrous oxide, sulphur hexafluoride, perfluorocarbons and
hydrofluorocarbons.
