Current Requests for Applications

The Health Policy Research Program (HPRP) solicits extramural policy research projects, and policy research workshops, seminars and conferences through Requests for Applications (RFAs). RFAs are posted periodically throughout the year and the funding period is in accordance with the period identified in individual RFAs. Each RFA contains information on the following:

  • Type of research being solicited;
  • Eligibility requirements;
  • Research objectives;
  • Background information on the selected topic; and
  • How to apply.

The following are the review stages that an application may go through:

  • Screening of applications for eligibility and mandatory requirements;
  • Review of eligible applications for their policy contribution;
  • Review of policy-relevant project applications (peer review) to assess the quality of the science and the significance to the field of study; and
  • Final approval of recommended applications.

For more information, applicants should consult the Instructions for Applicants section which outlines eligibility, review and selection criteria, application procedures and selection process. In addition, it also outlines the responsibilities and reporting requirements of successful applicants.

There are no current Request for Applications announcements at this time. Visit us regularly as new RFAs will be added throughout the year.
