Calgary Company Fined For Illegal Meat Shipment From Alberta to B.C.On April 14, 2004, Core-Mark International entered a guilty plea in Calgary Provincial Court to one count of violating the Meat Inspection Act and was fined $3,500. On Jan. 16, 2003, Core-Mark International of Calgary shipped two cases of sausage rolls to its operation in Richmond B.C. Only federally registered establishments are allowed to send meat products between provinces.
