Organization for Delivery
Customs and Excise Branch, Headquarters,
Ottawa, is responsible for policy development, program planning, program
monitoring and resource allocations.
Customs and Excise Sections and Federal
Enforcement Sections in the field divisions are responsible for program
delivery.

- A reduction in the loss of Revenue to
the Federal Government resulting from the illegal importation of goods
and the traffic in unlawfully manufactured spirits and tobacco products.

the reduction in the illicit trade/diversion of technology and strategic
goods.
- Improved international relations
through Canada's ability to respond to international agreements designed
to protect security, endangered species and cultural property of other
countries and to respond generally to customs and related statute enquiries
by other countries.
