Mobility II

The Working Group on Mobility II was mandated to study horizontal movement of employees between the core public service and separate employers and agencies. The group worked to better understand various aspects of the mobility "problem" and to identify and summarize impediments to mobility associated with each of these aspects. The group also examined the results of the Public Service Survey as they relate to mobility, and sought to explore other available empirical evidence so as to evaluate the extent of the mobility issue in the Federal Public Service. The Working Group recently submitted its most recent report on mobility in the public service. The document draws attention to the complexity of mobility issues and identifies impediments associated with each identified aspect of the mobility "problem".
