National Joint Council
The National Joint Council (NJC) of the Public Service of Canada is a consultative body created by Order in Council in 1944. The purpose of the NJC is to promote the efficiency of the Public Service and the well-being of its employees by providing for regular consultation between the government, as the employer, and employee organizations certified as bargaining agents under the Public Service Labour Relations Act (PSLRA).
