Governor General to attend National Memorial Service in Edmonton for Royal Canadian Mounted Police officersMarch 8, 2005 OTTAWA – Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada, and His Excellency John Ralston Saul will represent Canadians at a National Memorial Service in honour of the four fallen RCMP officers, on Thursday, March 10, at 1 p.m., at the Butterdome Sport Complex at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton . Governor General Clarkson will offer remarks during the service.
