Media Advisory - National Memorial Service Scheduled for Thursday; Private Family Funerals Planned

A National Memorial Service will take place on Thursday in Alberta for the four fallen RCMP members.

Date: Thursday, March 10, 2005
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: University of Alberta
Butterdome Universiade Pavillion
11440 -87 Ave.
Edmonton, Alberta

In addition, private family funerals will also take place this week for each of the four members. While the families thank Canadians and the media for their outpouring of sympathy following the tragedy, they are asking for privacy during the individual family funerals.
