Selection criteria included upright habit, large flowers, early blooming, heat tolerance and flower colour. 'Kielimin' was a selection made from a seedling population of Fuchsia x hybrida that was produced as a result of crossing two inbred parental lines, 2393 x 2055. Tests & Trials: Tests and trials for 'Kielimin' were conducted in Oxford Station, Ontario during the summer of 2005. Fifteen plants of each variety were individually grown in 10cm plastic pots in a polyhouse. Unless indicated otherwise, measured characteristics were based on ten measurements.
