Foreward

The Organizational Readiness Office (ORO) of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) organized a study primarily to assess the advantages, validity and usability, at the interdepartmental and intergovernmental levels, of the competency profile and selection tools for service delivery agents. The study consists of the following two phases:

  • Phase 1: an assessment of the perception of managers and candidates regarding the validity and usability of the competency profile and the selection tools developed for screening service delivery agents
  • Phase 2: an assessment of the validity of the competency profile and selection tools

This report presents the results of the first phase of the study, carried out by the Personnel Psychology Centre (PPC) of the Public Service Commission of Canada (PSC) in collaboration with the ORO. The second phase of the study has been discussed with the ORO and may be carried out during the 2004-05 fiscal year under a separate contract.
