Service Delivery Community Champions Committee

Role

The Service Delivery Community Champions Committee provides direction to community-led initiatives to develop the human capacity of the service delivery community. Improved leadership, additional skills and new workplace relationships are critical to success of business transformation initiatives such as the Government On-Line and Service Improvement agendas. The Committee helps identify and anticipate HR capacity-building needs of the community and formulates recommendations to the ORO for programs and initiatives. It formulates a vision and assumes a leadership role in activities supported by the ORO. It promotes and supports alignment of community initiatives with government objectives. It also offers a forum where decisions concerning the allocation of resources are made based on priorities of the community and government.

The SDCCC focuses on:

  • Ensuring a solid foundation of research, demographic data and models for use in decision-making by the community;
  • Analysis of the human resource requirements of the community;
  • Training and development programs;
  • Selection processes for succession requirements.
