Hello.
Lana is very happy to have been a part of the youth.gc.ca project. Hailing originally from Prince Edward Island, she moved to Montreal to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and then jaunted over to Ottawa to begin a Master of Arts degree at Carleton University. When Lana is not talking about herself in the third person, she enjoys designing webpages and animation. Lana is generally a mild mannered person by day and fierce advocate of Canadian content by night.
Lana's contributions to the youth.gc.ca project were many, including providing graphic work for the online workspace area, brainstorming taglines for the project, and beta testing the youth.gc.ca site. Working with the other Team Leaders, we crafted our vision for the youth.gc.ca site with the input and guidance from hundreds of Virtual Team members from across Canada.
It has been a year of hard work and challenges for all of us - learning to work as a cohesive team, developing our "online" personalities, and working on behalf of all Canadian youth to build the best portal for youth information in Canada.
Thank you to all of my co-workers and online team members for sharing their ideas and being passionate about this project. To you, online visitor, I hope that you use this site to your full advantage to indeed, "Step Ahead."
