My name is Leigh. I am 24 and have been living in Ottawa ever since I came here to study English literature at the University of Ottawa. I liked Ottawa so much that after I finished my degree I decided to study Interior Design at Algonquin College just to stay in the area (well maybe I'm exaggerating, but Ottawa is really a great city).
Last January, I learned about the youth.gc.ca program and promptly applied to become part of it. When the team first met, we hit it off right away and before we knew it we had gained 15 more friends and not just teammates. We had many productive meetings, which, in turn, resulted in the site you see before you now (with the help of our awesome online virtual team). I hope my contribution to the youth.gc.ca site has helped make this site one that's relevant and engaging for other youth in the years to come. Enjoy!
