Last year, I took part in an adventure that promised to be really exciting and I wasn't disappointed. When I found out that I was accepted into the Youth Portal project, I jumped for joy. At last! I was getting a chance to help young Canadians.
Throughout the year, I worked as part of a fantastic team of talented people with wide-ranging interests. One thing we had in common: the desire to create an outstanding site. Together, we brainstormed ideas, considered youth.gc.ca from every angle, and evaluated and discussed all aspects of the site. Not only were we able to share our own points of view, but we also collected and summarized the points of view of young people from across Canada via the Internet. It was an unforgettable experience to work with people who were as passionate as us and to create a tool that is so incredibly useful because it is thorough, extensive and pertinent to young people.
I am proud to come from Madagascar, where art is very important, and I love arts and theatre. I act, direct, write and am one of the founding members of a not-for-profit production company: Nemesis Productions. Theatre is great, but I what I love most of all is singing. For the past nine years, I have been studying classical singing and have been in several operas. I hope to continue along this path after finishing my studies in architecture!
