Daring to dream big

You know how in your head you have this idea of who you are and it doesn't always match up with how people see you? Whether it's how you look, how smart you are, your personality, or what you are capable of, people like to pigeonhole you.
But there is that voice inside your head that knows differently and it knows that you are special ...
That's how I was before I joined the Public Service through the Federal Public Sector Youth Internship Program, a program that gives youth work experience by finding them placements in the Federal Government.
When I first got my job at Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), I thought to myself that if I've made it this far, there must be something special about me.
So I decided to let that inner girl free to be able to be the person she knows she can be, let her talk and follow her lead...
So here I am, an intern, working as an Administrative Assistant for HRSD's youth initiative.
Being able to be part of a great team, working to expand the collaboration of youth in the workplace is an amazing feeling!
I describe being part of this initiative as daring to dream big and putting everything you have into making those dreams a reality!!
Being an intern is a wonderful opportunity.
It's life handing you a gift which will lead you to success or give you that extra experience needed to reach success!!!
