The Agreement on Social Security between Canada and Australia was signed on July 4, 1988 in Canberra, Australia. The Agreement came into force on September 1, 1989. A protocol was signed on October 11, 1990 in Ottawa, Canada. The Protocol came into force on September 1, 1989. A revised agreement was signed on July 26, 2001 in Ottawa, Canada. The Revised Agreement came into force on January 1, 2003.
