Assisted Human Reproduction Implementation Office

Created for a limited time, the Assisted Human Reproduction (AHR) Implementation Office is mandated to conduct policy research and consultations with a broad range of stakeholders (such as the infertile community, persons born of assisted human reproduction procedures, health care professionals in the field of infertility treatment and prevention; etc.) in order to create a regulatory framework and draft and promulgate regulations as specified in the Assisted Human Reproduction Act; and to conduct research and consultations to create the knowledge management architecture to support the information distribution, management information systems, and database of personal health information of donors required of the Agency.

In addition, this office will undertake all activity required to create the Board of Directors and transitions from the AHR Implementation Office to the creation of the Assisted Human Reproduction Agency of Canada.
