Protect your birds with Bird Health Basics

Printer-friendly PDF versions: Brochure | Poster

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) wants to help small flock owners protect their birds from harmful diseases such as avian influenza and exotic Newcastle disease. Bird Health Basics is a simple, easy to follow program that will help bird owners keep their flocks healthy.

If you are the owner of a flock of 100 to 1,000 birds, complete the online order to receive a free copy of the Bird Health Basics poster and brochure.

Also available are a limited number of disease prevention resource kits, which contain a range of useful tools such as shoe and boot covers, coveralls, hand sanitizer, a biosecurity sign and a multi-tool.

The Bird Health Basics poster and brochure are also available online in HTML and PDF format.
