Kensington - Hub of the Island

A visit to Prince Edward Island will not be complete without visiting the Town of Kensington and the surrounding area. Kensington, the commercial heart of over thirty surrounding fishing and farming communities, has an excellent selection of attractions of its own including: the historical Train Station, Rails to Trails, and the Kensington Water Gardens. Kensington is the gateway to many of the island's most visited and well-known places, including the famed Malpeque Bay, the beautiful seaside city Mayor Ivan Gallantof Summerside, and the city of Charlottetown (our province's capital). Cavendish, "The Land of Anne of Green Gables", is approximately 20 kilometres away and is home to one of PEI's most beautiful beaches as well as countless other tourist attractions. All these and more are reached via the Town of Kensington! Come visit Kensington, "The Heart of the Island", and enjoy our hospitality!

Warmest Regards,
Mayor Ivan Gallant
