This scholarship is funded by participating Leibniz-Institutes and are administered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). They enable young graduates, PhD students and post doctorates to carry out a research project or a program of continuing education and training at a Leibniz-Institute. The scholarships are for outstanding academics who wish to study in Germany. These scholarships are for the acquisition of a PhD in Germany, for doctoral research or for post-doctoral research. |

Age limit of 32 years for the PhD scholarship, age limit of 36 years for doctoral research scholarship and age limit of 42 for postdoctoral research. |

Funding |
|
|
|
|
|
The scholarships will be responsible for: |
|
|
|
A monthly stipend, plus travel and luggage costs, and a health insurance allowance; |
|
|
|
For stays longer than six months, recipients will receive a study and research allowance, plus, where appropriate, a rent subsidy and family allowance; |
|
|
|
The scholarships for postdoctoral research include an additional monthly allowance. |
