Regional Project Funding

In 1998, the Minister of Health announced the federal
government's strategy to address the concerns of Canadians
regarding hepatitis C. The strategy's two main objectives were to
improve blood safety and build knowledge about hepatitis C, and
to ensure that those Canadians who have been infected with
hepatitis C through the blood system and qualify for assistance
do not incur out-of-pocket expenses for medical treatment.

All of these and other related initiatives require funding. This section provides information related to obtaining funding for hepatitis C initiatives. We hope that it will help you gain a better understanding of what support is available to you and how to obtain it.
