BILL BRESSER HONOURED AS 'OUTSTANDING'
CONSERVATION OFFICER OF THE YEAR

Environment Minister Barry Penner (right) joined Conservation Officer Bill Bresser at the B.C. Legislature recently to recognize Deputy Chief Bill Bresser as “Outstanding Conservation Officer of the Year.” Penner presented the award for 2006 to the Deputy Chief for good reason. While performing his regular duties, Bresser was responsible for the creation of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), a big job in and of itself. The SIU was staffed and trained under Deputy Chief Bresser's direction and during the past year was successful in bringing several major files forward. Bill Bresser has been a Conservation Officer in British Columbia since 1993 and has worked in Victoria since that time.
