Assistant Deputy Minister's Office

The Health Products and Food Branch's (HPFB) Assistant Deputy Minister's Office (ADMO) is comprised of the people who support the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) and the Associate Deputy Minister in their work. In addition to management and coordination of all branch business relating to Parliamentary and Cabinet Affairs, Ministerial and Deputy Ministerial Briefing materials, and executive correspondence, the HPFB ADMO has an Executive Director responsible for ensuring horizontal management of crisis files and for maintaining efficient working relationships with the Deputy Minister and Ministerial offices.

The ADM's Executive Advisor provides leadership in the analysis, coordination, and integration of strategic approaches to the management of issues.

The ADMO's Strategic Outreach and Partnerships team focuses on anticipating trends in the HPFB environment and on building and strengthening relationships both within the Branch and with stakeholder groups, the public and many of our government partners. The team is responsible for the Branch's internal communications program and identifies opportunities for increasing awareness, both inside and outside government:

  • of the work of the Branch,
  • its scope and complexity, and
  • the important contributions it makes to the health and safety of Canadians.
