The National Research Forum for Young Investigators (YI) in Circulatory and Respiratory Health is a major training and educational initiative of the CIHR Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (ICRH) and its many partners. Trainees and young investigators (e.g., junior faculty, post-doctoral fellows, undergraduate and graduate students, clinician trainees) interested in the causes, mechanisms, prevention, screening, and palliation for a wide range of conditions associated with the heart, lung, brain (stroke), blood vessels, blood, critical and intensive care, and sleep are the focus of this meeting. The YI Forum is a venue for trainees and young investigators to make scientific presentations, to learn about the latest circulatory and respiratory research activity, and to interact and share ideas with many colleagues and mentors. Faculty members assist trainees and young investigators in moderation and facilitation of scientific sessions, and contribute to workshops on a diverse range of topics.
