IAESTE - International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is a non-governmental organization that facilitates on-the-job training and offers a variety of career-related job postings abroad, providing the opportunity to work in fields related to your future career goals.

Duration

Positions range in length from being 8-12 week summer jobs to being up to one year.

Target Audience

Students between 19 and 35, residing in Canada, and who are attending courses at universities, institutes of technology and similar institutions of higher education, studying Science and Technology or Engineering;
Exceptions can be made for recent graduates doing practical training immediately after final examinations.

Funding

The participant is responsible for:
Travel arrangements and costs, and for obtaining a passport and visa when necessary;
Health, accident and life insurance, which are mandatory for the total work period under IAESTE;
The application fee to IAESTE;
Other:
Student salaries in foreign countries are sufficient to cover your food and lodging costs during the period of your employment, but do not cover your transportation and insurance costs.
