Kristy McKamey Describes IAESTE Internship in Sweden

A few words to describe the infinite experience I've gained from my IAESTE placement; that's a hard task. But after 15 months of work at SKF in Sweden, I have the confidence to tackle it!
I started my placement in June of 2002. It was supposed to last 10 months; I've been here for 15. Right there that tells you a lot. I've gained invaluable experience working in the field that I've spent years studying. I've met a wealth of new friends from the four corners of the world. I've enjoyed getting to know new cultures, new traditions, new holidays and a new language. I've done things I've never done before.
Going abroad for an IAESTE traineeship has not only given me confidence in my skills as an employee, but also was a great platform to help me grow as a person.
