The Kidney Foundation of Canada (KFOC) and the Canadian Society of Nephrology (CSN) have joined forces to create and launch an exciting new research initiative - the Kidney Research Scientist Core Education and National Training (KRESCENT) program.

The KRESCENT program is heralded as one of the most innovative opportunities for scientists about to embark on a career in kidney research in Canada. This landmark initiative represents a major and timely investment in the future of renal research and related fields of study. The Canadian Institutes of Health Research - Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes (INMD) - will be providing significant support to this initiative and will be participating with The Kidney Foundation of Canada (KFOC) and the Canadian Society of Nephrology (CSN) on the KRESCENT Governance committee.
