A Tribute to My Dad

June 2005
by Sam

My dad was always my hero before he died. He always kept his sense of humour, even in the end. My dad knew more then most men. He knew enough to know that he knew nothing. He taught me how to live, how to love, how to care for my fellow humans. My dad never gave up.

If you had met my dad, you would say that he was loving, caring, a good father, a good husband, happy, intelligent and selfless. The things I remember the most are going on "special trips" with him, helping him work on people's computers, going on long trips with him to pick things up from his suppliers, and his sense of humour. My dad helped a lot of people out with their computers, sometimes for free... sometimes he charged, but one thing's for sure, he never left someone strapped for cash. My dad always made sure that his family was provided for; even in his last days he made sure that we had everything we needed. Needless to say, my dad was my hero. I could not ask for a better dad and I hope and pray that those of you who still have a dad will respect him, love him, care for him and make sure that if he died today that you would have no regrets.
