Natural Health Products Research Program
Health Canada's Natural Health Products Research Program is committed to supporting natural health product (NHP) research through a solicitation process both directly and in partnership with The Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
NHP research is any form of research involving NHPs related to the following themes:
- Biomedical research
- Product Quality
- Clinical research;
- Health systems and health services research;
- Societal, cultural, environmental influences on health and the health of populations;
- Issues related to Natural Health Products regulations; and
- Information and knowledge transfer.
In order to determine how best to fulfill its research mandate, a series of consultations took place with key stakeholders to determine research priorities.
