Environmental Code of Practice on Halons

Abstract

The objective of this Environmental Code of Practice on Halons is to protect the ozone layer, through measures to reduce, and eventually eliminate, halon emissions to the atmosphere.

This Code of Practice is intended for halon owners and users. This code is designed to provide direction on managing halon stocks in a manner that takes into consideration the environmental concerns regarding the depletion of the ozone layer.
