Health Care Services
Health Canada is committed to providing high-quality health care
to First Nations people and Inuit. Nurses and home care workers
are examples of the health staff working with Aboriginal communities.
Health Canada hires over 800 nurses to work directly in First
Nations and Inuit communities across the country, and home care
workers to take care of the needs of community members in their
homes.
We develop electronic health services which use computer software,
the Internet and telephones for sharing information on health.
We also provide electronic devices for nurses and doctors to see
and talk to one another across Canada.
