Expert Advisory Committee
In accordance with the recommendations of the
 House
of Commons Standing Committee on Health and the Transition Team, the
Minister of Health has established an Expert Advisory Committee. This
committee will provide the Director General of the Directorate with advice
and guidance on the safety, use and regulation of natural health products.
Dr. Frank Chandler is the current Chair of the Committee. The first meeting
of the Expert Advisory Committee was convened on May 25, 2000.
The Expert Advisory Committee, which includes members from the professional and scientific communities, provides expert advice on issues related to the safety, quality and efficacy of natural health products.
