Living Modified Organisms Regulations
The Living Modified Organisms Regulations will allow Canada to implement the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety to the Convention on Biological Diversity (the Protocol). The Protocol provides a framework for the assessment and management of the risks to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity from the transboundary movement of living modified organisms (LMOs).
