EDC is devoted exclusively to providing trade finance services to support Canadian exporters and investors in some 200 markets worldwide. Nearly 90 per cent of our customers are smaller companies for which we have developed programs to service their particular needs. Accounts Receivable Insurance, for example, has been used by Aboriginal people -- even those with a company located on a reserve -- to increase their working capital while reducing the risk that they will not get paid by their buyers.
