YES Shipment of poultry slaughtered on or after March 9, 2006 must be accompanied by Health certificate issued by the CFIA having following additional attestation.
  • the entire consignment of poultry meat came from birds which had been kept in an establishment since they were hatched or for the past 21 days and in which there been no evidence of Notifiable Avian Influenza (NAI) in past 21 days:
  • the entire consignment of meat came from birds which have been slaughtered in an approved abattoir and had been subjected to ante -mortem and post-mortem inspections for NAI with favorable results

UNITED STATES ZONE UNDER QUARANTINE IN BC YES restrictions on raw products originating from establishments where the NAI (Notifiable Avian Influenza) was detected in BC only as of December 14, 2005

No restriction on cooked poultry meat products (product produced under process categories 03D or 03G (see MOP USA section annex L/2.1 for details).

All exports of uncooked poultry meat must be certified by the following statement:

"The fresh or frozen poultry meat and/or eggs come from establishments in which there had been no evidence of NAI in the past 21 days"

The same attestation must be supplied, on separate letterhead, for raw poultry meat exported and that transit into the USA.

VENEZUELA CANADA YES cooked products may be allowed. Refer to Area Office
