INTRODUCTION
In July 2001, Health Canada invited Canadian voluntary not-for-profit
organizations and educational institutions to submit National Proposals
that applied the population health approach for one or more of the three
life stages:
- Childhood and Adolescence
- Early to Mid-Adulthood
- Later Life

and 36 were approved by the Minister of Health and subsequently received
