ABSA Canada (2000 06)
ABSA Canada is a Canadian affiliate of the American Biological Safety Association. Its objective is to establish a Canadian network of individuals interested in a wide variety of biological safety issues.

American Biological Safety Association (1998 02)
Information is provided about the Association itself, the Biosafety profession, the BIOSAFTY mailing list (see CCOHS' list of mailing lists for details), and an extensive directory of biosafety resources on the Internet.

Belgian Biosafety Server (2005 06)
This Web site primarily aims at providing regulatory and scientific information to the Belgian medical,veterinary, agronomical and Biotechnology actors.

Biosafety Information Network and Advisory Service (BINAS) (1997 09)
BINAS, a service of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, monitors global developments in regulatory issues in biotechnology. Site highlights include links to regulations in many countries, UNIDO publications, the BINAS newsletter, OECD Environment Monographs, etc.

CDC's own health and safety manuals - Chemical Safety, Contractor Safety, Engineering Safety, Hearing Conservation Program, Radiation Safety, etc.

Clayton Group Services Inc. (2003 12)
Offers information about company's cccupational health & safety, laboratory and environmental services.

EIC Environmental Health and Safety (1998 06)
As well as providing information about the services of this Washington state consulting company, the site provides access to a Weekly Hazardous Waste Inspection Checklist, articles, and an extensive set of links.

European Biological Safety Association (2003 09)
EBSA was formed in 1996 "to promote biosafety as a scientific discipline and serve the growing needs of the biosafety professionals throughout Europe." The site provides information about membership in the Association, and about its meetings.

European Federation, Biotechnology Working Party on Safety in Biotechnology (1997 09)
Information available includes a list of publications from and membership information for the Working Party, biosafety links and a bibliography on laboratory acquired infections.

Health Canada, Laboratory Centre for Disease Control, Laboratory Biosafety Guidelines (2005 07)
This site provides the full text of LCDC's guidelines document.

Health Protection Agency (2003 12)
The Health Protection Agency is anational organisation for England and Wales. "It is dedicated to protecting people's health and reducing the impact of infectious diseases, chemical hazards, poisons and radiation hazards. It brings together the expertise of health and scientific professionals working in public health, communicable disease, emergency planning, infection control, laboratories, poisons, chemical, and radiation hazards."

Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Office of Laboratory Safety (2003 09)
This site contains information about laboratory safety materials available from the institute plus the text of a number of publications

International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Biosafety Web Pages (1998 06)
ICGEB's site provides the full text of numerous biosafety documents, a bibliographic database of biosafety papers, European and US biosafety regulations, a biosafety mailing list, links to other biosafety resources, etc.

International Register on Biosafety (1998 03)
This site, provided by the United Nations Environment Programme, presents a number of biosafety resources. Highlights include a series of international directories, guidelines and fact sheets, descriptions of international biosafety activities, etc.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for Infectious Substances (2003 09)
Health Canada, Health Protection Branch, Laboratory Centre for Disease Control, presents these MSDS "for personnel working in the life sciences as quick safety reference material relating to infectious micro-organisms." Data sheets are available in English and French.

The Canadian Public Health Association (2001 12)
The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) is a national not-for-profit association incorporated in 1912. CPHA is composed of health professionals from over 25 health disciplines and is active in conducting and supporting health and social programs both nationally and internationally.

World Health Organization (2000 06)
WHO's site contains information about the organization itself, documents and fact sheets about various communicable diseases, traveller's health, biosafety guidelines, etc.
