ball  Mandate:
 

Through surveillance, risk assessment and targeted research, the Blood Safety Surveillance and Health Care Acquired Infections Division communicates, recommends, stimulates and manages the development and promotion of a national management/policy structure to reduce the risk of bloodborne pathogens (including community acquired bloodborne infections) and biological injuries due to blood transfusion and tissue and organ transplantation including xenotransplantation.
