What's New for November 2006
1) Iceberg Products Availability
The daily iceberg analysis chart and the daily iceberg bulletin will not be available on the weekends during the months of November and December 2006. However, daily production will resume Monday, December 25, 2006 or earlier if ice conditions warrant.
2) Daily Ice Analysis Chart Production Schedule for Summer 2006
This schedule shows the production dates (tentative) for the daily ice analysis charts for Arctic waters this summer. Please note that some ice charts may not be available everyday, depending on shipping activity in the vicinity of ice, and detailed ice information may be available for only part of the region at first.
3) WMO Colour Code – Updated (Sea Ice)
We have updated the on-line WMO Colour Code Tables for Sea Ice (Concentration and Stage of Development). They now include the ice shelf.
We have also added a second table for the WMO Colour Code Table for Sea Ice/Stage of Development. This second table describes codes that are part of the WMO colour code standard but are not depicted on our chart products.
Please note that the same tables in our document MANICE will not be updated until the next revision.
