Canadian Injury Prevention and Control Curriculum
(CIPCC)
Last
fall several Injury Section employees attended the pilot project of the Canadian
Injury Prevention and Control Curriculum, facilitated by SMARTRISK in Ontario.
Those who attended were at various knowledge levels of injury prevention and
control. Everyone came back to the office having learned something new, refreshed
their existing knowledge and shared their experiences with colleagues in the
field. This excellent learning opportunity will be available across Canada
soon. The overall direction of the project is the joint responsibility of
the Alberta Centre for Injury Control and Research (ACICR) and Plan it Safe:
Child & Youth Injury Prevention Centre at the Children's Hospital of Eastern
Ontario. For further information on CIPCC please contact Jennifer Callum,
ACICR: tel: (780) 492-9768 or email: jcallum@ualberta.ca.
