1.0 Opening
1.01 Introduction and Administration
The Vice-Chair opened the meeting. Members and alternates of the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Committee on Drinking Water (CDW) introduced themselves. The Secretary referred members to the list of observers in the agenda package, provided administrative details, and updated members on additional handouts in the agenda package.
Decision/Action:
- Secretary to distribute revised CDW membership list and all presentations by November 8, 2002.
- Secretary to draft notes and minutes by November 29, 2002.
- All CDW members to submit claims by January 6, 2003.
- Secretariat to finalize minutes by January 6, 2003.
1.02 Water Quality and Health Bureau
P. Lemay introduced Health Canada's new Water Quality and Health Bureau and gave a short presentation on its activities, priorities and the Department's recognition of the profile of drinking water within Health Canada.
