Pandemic Influenza information sessions for media

The Public Health Agency of Canada and the Nova Scotia Department of Health will hold an information session on pandemic influenza in Halifax on February 14. The session will give journalists an opportunity to learn more about Canada's pandemic preparedness plan, and other issues concerning pandemic influenza and avian flu, as well as direct questions to the leading experts on pandemic influenza at the federal and provincial levels.

The information sessions will include a 40-minute presentation on pandemic influenza and the federal and provincial preparedness plans, followed by an informal discussion among journalists and federal and provincial health officials. Officials will be available for interviews at the conclusion of each session. A media package of fact sheets and articles, and light snack will be provided for the media.
