Skateboards, Scooters, Inline Skates Back

Talk about thrills on wheels!
Skateboards, scooters and inline skates are a fun way of spending time with your friends. But they're also an easy way to get hurt - unless you take care.

Below are some tips that will help you stay free of injuries:

Wear the gear.
Put on the works - helmet for your head, and pads for your elbows and knees. You will also need wrist guards if you are skateboarding or inline skating. This way you won't get hurt and, hey, you'll look like a pro! Find out more about gearing up by clicking here.

Learn the right moves.
Sign up for a course that will teach you how to stop, turn and be in control of your equipment. The more you know, the safer you'll be. And that means more time for fun!

Control your speed.
Be cool. This means being in control of your speed so that, when you need to, you can brake quickly without wiping out. Be smart. Keep it safe by not going too fast.

Away from cars is better.
Ride your wheels in a car-free zone. Some parks have areas designed especially for skateboarders and inline skaters. You could also take your scooter there.
