Canadian Forces Honours and Awards Chart

This chart shows the sequence of wear for the majority of modern Canadian orders, decorations and medals. Note that some awards such as those related to the Korean conflict and some provincial awards have not been included as it is impossible or unlikely that they will be awarded to serving members of the Canadian Forces.

The awards displayed below are part of the Canadian Honours System established following the creation of the Order of Canada in 1967, a system which replaced the British orders, decorations and medals previously awarded to Canadians. UN Mission acronyms are sometimes based on UN official languages other than English (MINURSO - French; ONUSAL - Spanish, etc.).

A ribbon which recognizes service in more than one mission, ie. UNTSO and UNGOMAP, or, UNMOGIP and UNIPOM, is only worn once, in the higher position in the order of precendence for the individual concerned.
