![]() Land Forces Western Area (LFWA)Land Forces Western Area (LFWA) is home to 4 CRPG and covers British Columbia, northern Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Its headquarters are located in Victoria, B.C. There are 695 Canadian Rangers in 4 CRPG, located in 38 patrols or communities. There are 324 Junior Canadian Rangers in 4 CRPG, located in 17 patrols or communities. Canadian Rangers in British Columbia have been instrumental in the past in helping the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and local enforcement officials to patrol the western coast and waters of Canada. Canadian Rangers have assisted police forces in watching for illegal immigrants in Canada’s waters. The Junior Canadian Ranger Programme is a recent addition to 4 CRPG, but is gaining in popularity. ![]() 4 CRPG publishes a quarterly bulletin called The Ranger which is full of tips and practical information not only for Canadian Rangers, but for anyone who is interested in surviving out on the land.
